Mostar, 30.07.98. (AIM) - "Even with many obstacles the Croats will return to Kakanj and other places in B&H. That is the place where we want to live", said the vice-president of the federation of B&H Vladimir Soljic after the visit of the mined church in Kakanj.
Soljic said that the Croatian authorities are wrongly accused for the obstruction for the return. He accused the mining of Bosnian houses in Stolac, and demanded from the police to make possible the return of the refugees on the all territory of B&H.(end)
Sarajevo, 30.07.98. (AIM) - With the meeting of the central council in Sarajevo on the 14th of August this year, the New Croatian initiative (NCI) will start its electoral campaign - it was said on today's press conference of NCI in Sarajevo, where the president of the party Kresimir Zubak and the vice president Ivo Lozancic were speaking.
He commented and denied the accusations from the Croatian press that HDZ is accusing him for the cooperation with the KOS, and he said that he will resolve some questions on the court.(end)
Sarajevo, 30.07.98. (AIM) - Everything shows that the life B&H is getting better - the number of tourists is considerably bigger, the transport is getting bigger, the import as well, but the export is getting smaller.
On the question if the import is really getting smaller or it is a thing of not a good control on the boarders, Bicakcic answers that the boarders are porous, but we are working to stop that sort of crime.
According to some information that the candidate of HDZ for the member of the B&H presidency Ante Jelavic is not a citizen of B&H, Grbo and Bicakcic answered that those information are not important and that different media bring different information and proofs, and that in SDA they think that someone with the different citizenship should not be a member of the state presidency, but in any case the OSCE has got the mandate to decide.
Asked to comment the initiative of the Croatian member for the B&H presidency Kresimir Zubak about the forming of a special ministry for B&H to join the European union, Bicakcic said that that sort of initiative can get all the support.(end)
Sarajevo, 30.07.98. (AIM) - The representative of the Independent commission for the media (IMC), that formed the high representative, Carlos Westendorpe, the 11th of June 1998 on today's press conference in Sarajevo they were talking about the use, authority, activity and the structure of IMC on the territory of B&H. Kristen Thelin the general director said that the rules of IMC will be in general the ones accepted in the European practice and will be send to develop the media in B&H and for the integration in the European regulations and professional structures.
Robert Gillette, his deputy said that the IMC will cooperate with the press media and with national and international organizations on the development on the codex of behavior for the press media. The initial codex on the editing of radio and TV programs will start on the 1st of August this year.(end)

Banjaluka, 30. July AIM) - The president of RS Biljana Plavsic and the prime minister Milorad Dodik talked today in Banjaluka with the high representative for B&H Carlos Westendorpe, and he presented his new deputy Miguel Aries.
After the meeting Dodik said that he is happy because of the opening of the office of the high representative in Banjaluka with the arriving of Aries.
" We were talking about the decision of the government about the local media. I explained to Mr. Westendorpe that those media were formed with the state means and that no private media was touched. I told him that in RS we need media that are professional and neutral.
Westendorpe said that Aries will be the chief of the office of the high representative in Banjaluka and he will cooperate with the government and the authorities in RS. He added that he was talking with the prime minister Dodik about much the situation in RS is better, " the international community is ready to continue with this cooperation, everyday you will see interest because of understanding of RS and the international community, and that will be of big importance for the people of RS" said Westendorpe.
Talking about the coming elections, Westendorpe said that the elections has to happen in peace and democracy and he said that " the people of this country will make the right choice". (end)
